Damien Hirst
After Googling "contemporary artists," I found it interesting that Damien Hirst appeared first on the list. I found out about him two quarters ago at school. I find some of his works to be very interesting like the dead animals preserved in formaldehyde, but some of the works like the spot paintings almost make you mad because you ask yourself "why didn't I think to do that?" As of recent, Hirst has designed the 2013 Brit Award. It's amazing how famous he's gotten. -Andra
