Job

This sculpture is of the bible character Job. I had originally planned to make Joseph when I first started. However God had other plans for my sculpture.while I was making him he looked less and less like Joseph to me.So after praying and searching in the bible I found the book of Job. I really love his story. I love how no matter how difficult life got he still trusted God. I mean who has enough faith to get up and praise God after he kills your servant, your livestock, and all your children and then says praise be to God he gives and takes away. And I think my sculpture’s face is the mixture of mourning and hard core trust in God Job had at the time.
