Farideh Lashai

I really enjoyed Shirin Neshat's lecture last Thursday and find her process as an Iranian female artist very interesting. Following the same light, I stumbled upon another female Iranian artist. She was one of the most important and famous contemporary artists of Iran. She was also a writer. She died today at the age of 68. Personally, I don't think her work is as controversial as Neshat's, but I do appreciate her multimedia work.
