Omar M Richardson

I have decided to dedicate this blog posting to my boyfriend, Omar M. Richardson. He is a well-known Bahamian fine artist. I like to think of him as a huge inspiration to SCAD students since he graduated from SCAD and has had much success. He combines his love of printmaking and wood carving, and also incorporates some photography in his fine art. His pieces are often large-scale and very engaging. One can appreciate the intricate carvings within his work and the cultural influences. The video above explains more about him and a body of work he did two years ago. Besides fine art, he also does commercial and fashion photography, videography, and graphic design. He incorporates his graphic designs into T-shirt designs for his company ILC Tees. He currently teaches photography, graphic design, and illustration at Art Institute of Atlanta.
